Tire Rotation: Why and When
Tire rotation is an important part of up-keeping your tires. Rotating your tires will help ensure they wear evenly and will increase the longevity of your tires. Each tire position requires something different from the tire, like when it comes to torque and friction as well as accelerating and breaking. You should rotate your tires every 5,000 miles to keep them fresh and keep the tread even.
There are several different ways to rotate your tires. The way that is chosen will depend on what kind of tires you have on your car, what kind of drive your car has, and whether the tire are directional or nondirectional. If you aren’t sure what kind of tire rotation your car needs or if it’s time to rotate them, give us a call!
