Getting The Most Out of Your Gas Mileage
It’s safe to say that we are all feeling the weight of gas prices. While we may not be able to change the prices on the gas pumps, here are three ways to get the most out of your gas mileage so those extra dollars don’t feel as bad.
1. Keep Your Speed Steady
If you’ve got a lead foot, then you are causing yourself to fill your gas tank sooner rather than later. After reaching 45-50 mph, your car begins to lose fuel efficiency. And the faster you go, the worse it gets. It’s best to drive the speed limit and use cruise control when possible. Also, be aware of how much you are quickly accelerating to braking since those can eat up gas as well.
2. Check Your Tire Pressure
When your tires are under inflated, fuel consumption can increase by as much as 3%. Plus, without proper tire inflation, you risk wearing down your treads more quickly. Come into the store so we can check your tire pressure to make sure you’re good to go! Set up an appointment here!
3. Get Regular Maintenance
